Parent Contact

A question arises in all of our minds that what is parent contact? And why should it be done? Now, we see that parent contact means visiting the home of the school-going children and meeting their family members.

Know how many members are in the children’s family by contacting the parent.

Also, it can be known whether a child coming to study in a school lives in a joint family or a nuclear family.

One can know about the residence of the child coming to the school and the condition of his house. Also it can be known whether the environment of their house is sanctifying or not.

If the child’s mother directly visits the child’s home, she can easily know the happy and sad events of their home. Also, poor or middle-class children can be financially helped by school trustees, administrators or the cabinet in the form of goods or services.

With parental contact, they stay aware of the emotional or intimate relationship between the children. Also, the principal can know the child’s home dialect, manners and mutual relationship with the child’s parents. By contacting the parent, the direction of the child’s development and the understanding of the activities and working methods and the philosophy of the child are known. Also, by contacting the guardian, the development of the child’s strengths and weaknesses is improved through the help of parents and siblings.

Therefore, parents are contacted twice a year in nursery schools and once a year in primary and secondary schools.
